The Danish orchestrated draft of the Copenhagen Agreement has been leaked, which has resulted in a fury amongst many developing countries who argue the agreement would give greater power to the rich developed countries and sidelines the United Nations.

Copenhagen Day 1
After 2-years of build-up from the Bali Roadmap (COP13) Hopenhagen (COP15) has officially kicked started - Day 1 has drawn to a close. The Bella Center is abuzz with people here to put in some hard graft over the next 2-weeks. And all with the hope it will result in substantive progress towards an international agreement that matches the scale of ambition needed to tackle climate change. Being here on the ground for this first week I am watching first hand the climate science be transformed into the policy archectiture that will shape our global future.

Scotland plans thousands of green jobs
Whilst the Scottish Parliament has yet to pass a budget, Finance Secretary John Swinney is planning as series of proposals to create thousands of new 'green' jobs as part of the countries economic recovery plan based on "new low-carbon industries in energy production, energy efficiency and sustainable transport".
