4 Degrees and Beyond
Between the 28th and 30th of September the 4 Degrees and Beyond Conference took place at Oxford University. Attended by 130 international scientists and policy specialists the conference was the first to consider global consequences of climate change beyond 2°C.

Al Gore at TED
Al Gore's 2006 documentary 'An Inconvenient Truth' was one of the catalysts that led to the establishment of Julie's Bicycle. Earlier this year at the TED conference in California, Al Gore delivered an update on the worsening climate trends around the globe. He also provided a fascinating insight into the battle being fought between the coal industry and climate protection groups via tv advertisements. Strangest of all is a coal industry christmas time special that sings about coal as "affordable and adorable" to the tune of "Frosty the Coalman".
